National Theatre (Národní divadlo)
A symbol of Czech national pride and cultural revival. Built in the 19th century through public donations, this golden-crowned building on the Vltava is a testament to the Czech people’s love for language, art, and independence. Inside, you’ll find world-class opera, ballet, and drama — and some of the most exquisite interiors in Prague.
Dancing House (Tančící dům)
Designed by Frank Gehry and Vlado Milunić, this controversial yet iconic building is a celebration of movement and creativity. Often called “Fred and Ginger,” it stands out in a sea of classical architecture, symbolizing Prague’s post-communist freedom and new artistic spirit.
An Art Nouveau masterpiece with gilded mosaics, marble halls, and historical significance. It was here that the Czechoslovak Republic was declared in 1918. Don’t miss the Smetana Hall — and treat yourself to coffee and cake in its stunning café.

Municipal House (Obecní dům)
Loreta
A baroque pilgrimage site with a beautiful cloister, the famed "Prague Sun" (a monstrance adorned with over 6,000 diamonds), and a carillon that chimes every hour. Less known to first-time visitors but rich in spiritual and artistic beauty.
